St. John's Wort Oil / 4.8 fl oz

Our St. John’s wort oil bottle comes with a dropper insert to control flow. This way you can flip the bottle and have the precious oil flow in drops. Get more oil simply by shaking it to have the oil drip faster.

Known in Greece to this day as "Spatholado" (sword oil), the oil infused with St. John's Wort, bearing a characteristic deep red color, is said to have been used in ancient times to heal sword wounds suffered by soldiers in battle.

In the words of 16th century physician Paracelsus, "The doctor should know that God has put a great arcanum (mystery) into the herb, for St. John's Wort is a universal medicine for the whole human being."

Traditional uses of St. John’s Wort Oil include topical use:
- On burns, including sunburns
- As an anti-inflammatory massage oil, to relieve the pain of bumps and bruises, as well as nerve pain
- As a wound healing agent

We make our St. John's Wort Oil from the wildcrafted fresh flowering tops of Hypericum perforatum plants. For optimal extraction of St. John's Wort's beneficial red pigment, the top of the plants is harvested by hand and while still fresh is extracted into cold pressed, organic extra virgin olive oil.
