Here is a short description of the herbs in these salves and their traditional uses. And a little summary of how we use these with our family.

Arnica: Traditionally used topically for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, in our family we use it on bumps and bruises as well as a muscle rub. This is a beeswax salve made with the oil produced using fresh wildcrafted flowers from a pristine North Idaho hillside. Ingredients: Organic Extra Virgin Greek Olive Oil infused with fresh Arnica flowerheads, 100% pure North Idaho Beeswax

Calendula: Traditionally used for wound healing, this is the salve I never leave home without. It is such a versatile salve, so healing and protective of the skin, if there was only one salve I could hold on to while out of the house, this is the one I would take with me. We use it on skin irritations and on wounds to speed up healing and help prevent infection. This is a soothing beeswax salve made with the oil produced using freshly picked Calendula flowers and buds from our garden. Ingredients: Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil infused with fresh Calendula flowers and buds, 100% Pure North Idaho Beeswax.

Comfrey: Known as the knit-bone herb, traditionally Comfrey has been used to speed recovery from broken bones, sprains, strains, bruised muscles and joints. It has also been used to ease back pain, as an aid in relieving issues with osteoarthritis as well as for its ability in soothing the discomfort that accompanies rashes, eczema, psoriasis and minor burns. The main use this salve has in our household is as a soothing and healing agent for skin irritations as well as a salve to speed up recovery from sprains. This salve is made with the Comfrey from our garden. Ingredients: Dried Comfrey leaf, Organic Extra Virgin Greek Olive Oil, 100% pure North Idaho Beeswax. 

St. John's Wort: Traditionally used as a wound healing and nerve agent, I have found St. John's Wort to be indespensible with babies as I have seen very good results using it in treating any irritations in the diaper area. In our family we use it to speed up the healing of wounds, where there is nerve pain as well as wherever immediate support and care of the skin is required. Surprisingly it also works great as a face cream, especially on these days where I feel my skin and mood could use some support due to lack of sleep. This salve is made with the deep red colored St. John's Wort oil produced with local wildcrafted freshly picked North Idaho flowers. Ingredients: Organic Extra Virgin Greek Olive Oil infused with fresh wildcrafted St. John's Wort flowers, 100% pure North Idaho Beeswax. 

This kit comes with its very own cotton drawstring bag so that it is ready to go with you and handy to use in your purse or backpack in your everyday adventures with your little ones. 

Our salves follow the Greek home remedy tradition of the olive oil-beeswax salve that the lady of the house used to make and keep handy in the home as an all-purpose healing salve. The olive oil nourishes and heals and the beeswax helps to create a barrier that locks in moisture.

Suggested use

Extra precautions applying to Arnica salve: Avoid if pregnant or breastfeeding. Arnica may be toxic if taken internally so be extra careful not to let your children get their little hands on it.
